Disney x ActionCity’s Mickey Jiangshi by Daniel Yu, Local Artist

Hop into Halloween with Singaporean artist Daniel Yu's latest Jiangshi Figurine inspired by Mickey Mouse! The Jiangshi is a popular character in Chinese folklore that is usually presented in stories and cinema by hopping around. With this exclusive figurine, it takes Halloween festive mood with a little twist. 

Known for his iconic Jiangshi art collectibles worldwide, Daniel Yu is one of Singapore’s most established toy artists and sculptors. His works celebrate local tradition as well as pop culture, combining both worlds of imagination while remaining shaped by his personal experiences. Yu’s fictitious characters and sculpts have enjoyed a cult following amongst the urban and subculture art scenes in Singapore and abroad.

Produced exclusively by ActionCity, the Mickey Jiangshi figurine is casted in high-quality vinyl and features seven points of articulation (including head, arms,
hands and legs) with regular joints. This art figure boasts highly-detailed sculpting with intricate finesse capturing the feel of Jiangshi “realism”, courtesy of Yu’s art direction.

Meet the Artist
